It's a good uni, close to the city centre and with good transport links for further afield. Not much space to study on campus, as the library is just full of the same people leaving their stuff at desks all day, then going off to do other things, like going to lectures. Most of the other study spaces on campus are coffee shops. Teaching is hit or miss, depending on the lecturer, but mostly ok. Sports facilities are pretty decent.

The courses are primarily in person, but the lectures are recorded and put on the online portal. Occasionally, it goes wrong, and the equipment doesn't record, or the recording system isn't aimed well (e.g., it's just pointing at the lecturer's desk rather than the whiteboard being used). Module leads are normally fairly accessible, in person or by email. You can arrange to meet with them or just turn up at their office. But a couple avoid students like the plague, offices at parts of campus that students can't access easily or don't respond to emails in any timely fashion. But this is a very small few of them.

My first year halls were one of the furthest university-run ones from campus. It was good, never had problems with the internet, and maintenance would always respond to issues quickly. It had a reasonably sized room and shared kitchen. I had mid-range accommodation, and it was a bit pricey but comparatively cheap compared to some. But it was ok value for money. That was my first year, so it was several years ago now. Having seen the prices that it has been in the years since, it would no longer be good value for money. In the 2-3 years since i was there the price has gone up about £1500.
