The university's amazing for providing students with a great student experience in that they have great facilities and such a range of extracurricular activities to get involved with as well as so much support, should you need it. The only real downside for me is that all of my lectures are on Jubilee Campus and it's not a convenient location for me as I live in Broadgate Park which is on the opposite side of the main campus to Jubilee. Therefore, it's quite a walk to get to Jubilee from where I live and even though I mainly take the hopper bus, it still takes a while and feels inconvenient when getting this bus because a lot of the time it takes just as long to get the bus as it does to walk.

The foundation course is good and I found most modules were taught well, but I, personally, really struggled with the computing/matlab module in the first semester, mainly due to the fact that I'd had no real experience with programming before and it felt a bit like getting thrown into the deep end with this module, but I still managed to do well in it and got all coursework completed to the best of my ability thanks to help given to me by the teaching staff.

Broadgate Park is pretty good as far as student accommodation goes, but I've had a few problems such as: not being able to access ethernet in my room, the wifi being really slow at times and management seems to be really slow when it comes to fixing appliances in my flat, an example of which being that we had one of our two showers taken out for repairs a couple weeks before Christmas and it still hasn't been fixed now and it's nearly February. This really isn't great as there's 7 people that live in my flat and it's not exactly ideal to share one shower between 7 people.

The worst part would be accommodation at a fair and good standard is far and few between and takes a lot of looking to find. Another bad point would be that there is never enough space at the libraries to study especially during exams periods when it is needed the most. The campus is very open and there is lots of green space and very safe to get around by bike which is ideal for me. Staff are usually very kind and helpful.

work placements are N/A for my foundation course, however staff do advertise opportunities. Lectures offer help out of hours and multiple ways as well as online platforms for help.

The hall is good value for money, not too far out. I am very pleased with the room as well.
