During my time at the university so far I have had the opportunity to work with some of the finest equipment available on the market , the lectures are filled with enough insight to encourage further research at home.

In the first year back on campus the university has remained very aware of the Covid situation keeping access to virtual classrooms, I myself benefited from this when I contracted Covid I was still able to be a participant in lectures.

Nothing bad to say about it, I knew from the moment I had my applicant interview that this university was for me.

All lectures are in person but most can be facilitated online for those that can’t attend. Timetabling works in 8 week blocks with 3-4 weeks off over Christmas and Easter. Wednesday is our day off during the week with lectures/tutorials on Monday and Friday and our longer days of 10-4 on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s are primarily for practical work. Submissions are predominantly online which allows you to work at home and from the University. The School of East facilitates requests to book/borrow equipment; everyone will be inducted before they can use them. You have the freedom of coming up with your own ideas that follow a broad brief. The facilities such as the darkrooms and inkjet printers offer a professional experience. Personal Academic Coach (PAC) tutorials take place once in each 8 week block to discuss anything and everything that may be concerning you. Tutors are on hand 24/7 to support you in any capacity. The course content covers a wide variety of techniques and genres which prepares you for year 2 and 3.
