The University is overall a lovely place to be, while the campus is huge and offers so many different classes, all the buildings are close together and are surrounded by popular places of student life, particularly cafes, although helpfully most of the buildings have coffee shops in them anyway. The library and gym are both comfortable, friendly places to go and the staff I have met in both are amazing. All of this is within walking distance to the city center, between teaching blocks and the train station. All of my tutors have been amazing, very friendly and have never made me feel bad for asking questions or not knowing entirely what I was doing, always willing to help me execute ideas how I imagined them, even rather unusual ones. The only thing that I would to see more is student support with mental health. I am aware that there are facilities within the uni that provide help with organization and stress within the course, sometimes I don't feel like there is anyone to talk to about other mental health struggles like depression for example, although my tutors have, again, tried their best where they can. I would like for there to be more clear designated support for this but that is the only complaint that I have

We are primarily taught in-class but we have a lot of free time that we can choose how to use in relation to our course, whether that is used in one of the photographic studios, the dark room developing film, editing or developing our portfolios and adding to photo collections to turn in during class times. My tutors are really good at keeping us up to date with any developments or incidents that could affect our learning, but also informing us of any opportunities presented to give us more experience in our fields. They will generally answer emails from just before class begins to around 5:30pm or 6pm which I believe is incredibly generous.

I love the environment and everyone is passionate about the course which gives off a lot of inspiration !
