The photography facilities are really good there are lots of equipment.

Good facilities

As photography students, we are largely contained to one part of the building, T Block. It’s an old, tired part of the building full of magnolia and functionalities that you’d expect in an old school. The lifts are sketchy at best and some rooms don’t even have windows. For a creative field, the department should be able to go to town on the decoration and make it homely considered how long we spend there. The one saving grace are the staff. They are amazing and really make the course feel like one big family. The library is ok, but the chairs are very worn and broken in places, some with no wheels. Again from T5 through to T1, it’s beige and uninspiring.

The lecturers are great and it’s one big family. They know your name unlike some larger courses and it’s very personal. Their desire to help is out of this world. The hours are good and I like the late studio evenings as they are not mandatory, so the option is good. The content has been engaging although the long PowerPoints (all day sometimes) are a bit tiring and uninspiring but maybe it’s just me. That said I am doing well all things considered.
