The best experiences for me are having a great course supervisor who lets me explore possibilities in my work and is enthusiastic about what I'm working on. Also a very well-stocked library. The worst experience was a disappointing start from the Disability service, however all was sorted out satisfactorily

Bangor is a great location to study, however, for private renters such as myself the costs are high and the options limited.

The philosophy and religion department at Bangor is absolutely brilliant, there is nothing that they will not do for you, whether that be in terms of uni work or pastoral care. They go above and beyond and create a real community feel for all students. The student union are fantastic at providing incentives and raising awareness on multiple issues. A good example of this is implementing the £2 meal across all student food outlets in order to help with the cost of living crisis. The university itself is absolutely beautiful and I love studying here. It could be improved by providing kettles etc in shared learning spaces which would help students being able to make their own hot drinks.

The philosophy and religion department consistently go above and beyond. I can arrange one on one meetings whenever I want or call by offices and know they would be happy to help. They provide specialist help and have allowed me to realise my potential and grow my confidence in multiple ways. There are plenty of opportunities to present our research as postgraduate students and there is a real community between all students and staff. Blended learning was good with blackboard collaborate being used to it’s best ability and course hours and contact hours are high and always available.

Loved living in halls however it was during covid. En suite bathrooms were a plus!
