It’s inclusive and welcoming but needs work on the campus and the facilities offered

Stayed in very old halls that no longer allow students, was unclean and felt like it was falling apart and could collapse at any moment

Lots of isolated studying areas which is great, good facilities and on campus social opportunities. Everything is relatively easy to find and get to around the campus with accessible cycle lanes. I would say it could be improved by more accessible support from staff. It would also be good for society details to be somewhere other than online so that they are easier to find out as well - I've wanted to join societies but struggled figuring out how without social media.

The course subject matter is really interesting and the lecturers are very engaging, with lots of questions and answers in lectures and seminars. Some support in terms of doing the reading efficiently would be helpful as with philosophy the books are written in a very complicated way that can take a very long time to complete which leaves less time for actual essay writing.

I like the location as I'm very close to the centre of campus and a bus stop, as well as near food shops and restaurants. Its also very good for making friends as living in the building with lots of different people gives good social opportunities. My least favourite aspect of halls has been complications with things working, my bathroom light in the ensuite was broken (has since been fixed) the hob sometimes doesn't work, the WiFi doesn't work very well.
