Beautiful old city full of students which means that any trip out- shopping or walking to lectures always guarantees you'll bump into someone.Feels very traditional- gowns and formal dinners. Matriculation in the cathedral.

Durham is a fantastic university with a really supportive collegiate system. Accommodation is expensive (£5995 this year) but living out is much cheaper up north if you can hold on for a year. The Combined Honours degree is extremely flexible and allows you to pursue your interests in up to four subjects, much less restrictive than the sister course in Exeter.
