Its a great place to study because everything is available to you. Especially if you live close by to the university which is practically in the city centre, everything is accessible and its not hard to get around. Its facilities are also great. Our other campus St. peters has a great view. Staff are friendly and helpful. I’ve never had an issue with staff being rude or not helping me with a question or issue I’ve had. Previously we had 3 floors as our “library”. Now we only have one. This really upset some students because theres not enough space now for everyone to study. They also split the entrances which makes it a lot harder to get to the lecture hall (which is in the same building) so there are now 2 separate entrances on opposite sides for the library and lecture hall entrance. Another thing is having our lectures booked at the fire station because Theres isn’t space for us in either campus??

In some cases, when lectures are prerecorded online because they couldnt find a lecture hall, its not always easy to understand the lecturers in the video. Some of them go way too fast so you’re stuck rewinding every 20 seconds to catch what the professor has said. However, everything LIVE and in person is excellent. Our course hours are not bad but I’d say it does get a little heavy sometimes. However, our lecture hours are not bad at all, pretty decent. I dont contact my lecturers over email that much, I mostly just ask them questions after lectures if needed. But they’re always happy to help even if they have a lecture right after.

My accommodation is very modern and very affordable compared to the prices elsewhere in the uk. I love my room however i was just placed in a room with a very narrow window unlike others. So i dont get much sunlight. However ive seen other rooms and they look great. The safety here is excellent, I’ve never not felt safe even when walking around at night within the accompanying parameters. The facilities we have downstairs such as the meeting place (social room) where you can study, chill, meet new people, play pool or table tennis, etc. We also have a cinema room that they recently furnished which also looks amazing. Theres also a small convenience store which is useful when you need something quickly or suddenly. The only issue is that its pretty far from everything. Its a 10 minute walk from the closest grocery store; aldi. 10 minute walk to the metro station. A 25 minute walk to university, and approximately 30-40 minute walk to the city centre.

I chose Sunderland to study ospap even I had an offer from another university due to the reputation of the university in this course particularly and in pharmacy program in general. The coarse is well established and the materials and system is well designed. The only thing that I wish to be changed is when we have to attend lectures with undergraduates because the place became crowded and loud and can't focus
