I feel that the support I have received from staff is second to none, they are deeply caring about the student experience and are constantly looking to improve things for us. We have excellent facilities to use from the X-ray room to the simulation facilities and lecture rooms which provide a great and balanced learning experience for us. Overall I feel that UoS are doing everything in their power to offer an interesting and enriched learning journey for the course. Where I feel that the university experience is lacking is mainly in the town of Ipswich itself, this is difficult for the university to rectify but I do not feel that there as many opportunities for socialising as there are in other university cities. Having studied previously in a large city i appreciate the value of having as much to do outside of the university as possible. Having said this, studying during the Covid-19 pandemic has made the social aspect more difficult. My thoughts on how it could be improved are not easy to articulate but I do believe that as the reputation of the university improves, the facilities outside of the university will also improve.

We have a really large amount of time on placement which I feel is incredibly beneficial to our learning experience. Tutors are very accessible and happy to offer additional support and advice and the training we receive on placement is also excellent. We started the course with a largely online learning experience which I felt was really well delivered and allowed us the opportunity to go back and review lectures very easily. As we have come out of lockdowns and returned to campus - some of the lectures have not been as easy to access after but there is still a good access to a wide variety of content and the lectures are well delivered.
