The university has an excellent track record in health and social care degrees. It also has great facilities for anything related to the sports sciences. It has a closely-knit community which can be lacking in some of the larger universities. The Cheltenham campuses are in a lovely town that has something for everyone. The other campus is in Gloucester which I do not rate highly as a city but Cheltenham is very close. The staff and lecturers are very supportive and there are teams to give you academic guidance.

The course is well-balanced with the right mix of anatomy and physiology, physics, radiography skills and personal development. The physics has a more practical application as opposed to being overly mathematical. All learning materials are accessible online after the lectures. The course is pretty full-on with two days of lectures, two days of placement and a self-study day every week. There is a lot of reading required outside of lectures especially for the anatomy and physiology. Having said that, the lecturers are regularly available for one-to-ones and you will get ample time to get assignments done and to study. There is a newly built x-ray suite to practice scenarios so you can puts skills into practice on placement.

The uni has several campuses of reasonable size so it doesn't feel overwhelming. Our class is fairly small and we have loads of support from our tutors and student services. Sometimes parking could be issue especially with if the lectures are later in the day but I always managed to park. The library is nice and spacious and the refectory is brilliant- cooked menu is restaurant quality. A good restaurant! Everyone is conscious about the environment and there are recycling bins everywhere. There's a real focus on mental health and wellbeing and lots of student facilities to unwind and support groups if one struggles. All in all I wouldn't go anywhere else, really happy hear.
