DMU is strategically located in the heart of the city and is walking distance from essential locations like the railway station, the shopping center, royal infirmary hospital and leisure centers like King power stadium. The building infrastructure at DMU is a mix of historical buildings as well new modern architecture such as the Vijay Patel building which gives a lively and colourful ambiance. DMU is also traversed by the river sore and has the castle gardens all of which give a feeling of serenity for anyone who wants to take a moment to refresh their mind. The student accommodations are also affordable compared to most cities. The student support from the university is great including financial support for academic purposes. There are also opportunities for students to travel abroad under the DMU global project.

The course facilities are adequately equipped to allow hands on training and lecturers are all supportive and kind to students. I am not sure about placements as I didn't sign up for any. My colleagues who signed up were interrupted by COVID19. I don't know what arrangement was put in place to maneuver that period.
