Overall I have had a great experience at Worcester. It has a homely feel as the city is quite small, in comparison to other universities the student experience is different; better or worse depending on your preference. If you like going out a lot, you can still do this, however there are really only 2 clubs (although the student nights are brilliant!) . If you're not so worried about nightlife, the city is beautiful with so many interesting places to visit. The new medical building has been an amazing addition to the paramedic course, it is a lovely place to study. I have marked student support down slightly due to issues with communication within my course, however the 'first point' service is invaluable and they cannot do enough to help. The improvements I would suggest are more opportunities to practice clinical skills outside of lecturing hours (you can book rooms but these are limited) and better communication so students feel more supported.

The course has been very well-taught but as we were the first cohort to have the new curriculum understandably there were issues which have been addressed. We rarely have online sessions and when we do they are Q&A style which I find very helpful. More facilities have been added since beginning the course and many improvements have been made which have all enhanced our education. The lecturers are all very passionate about providing us with a high-quality education and often go above and beyond to provide us with brilliant learning experiences. For example, we did a session where we mentored a first-year student for a scenario day and this was a great addition to the module.

I stayed here during my first year, it was great and I met my closest uni friends here. I understand that the price has since been increased - from the very high price that it was when I stayed there. Unfortunately my friend and I experienced a roof leak and were moved out into a different flat, this took many weeks to be sorted and we were heartbroken to be split up from our flat. I felt that the uni could have sorted this issue quicker or offered us some compensation as it very negatively impacted our experience. I am glad I chose to stay in halls to meet my friends and the halls are lovely - however they are not value for money and from our experience the uni are slow to sort out issues regarding maintenance. The price of these particular halls is not affordable for many students and I have found staying in student housing much more affordable.
