I have really enjoyed my time at the University of Northampton and I am pleased with my choice of institution. I am a mature student, but I haven't had any problems fitting in with the other younger students. There is a really nice atmosphere at the university and the students are often very helpful, kind and considerate. The art department is very well equipped and visitors from London art schools are often very impressed with our studio space. There is also a music gig in the printroom at christmas and after the Graduate show (for fine arts) in June.

We could do with a gym at Avenue campus where I am based, but the library resources are excellent. I'm in the art department and the resources are second to none in terms of studio space, printers, laser cutter, macs, etc.

The university has good support for those who struggle with essay writing at their CFAP centre. The librarians are also very helpful if you need assistance searching for articles. There is also NILE which gives students access to lots of support and information about their course.

Nice student bar.

Northampton is a lively market town. It has a quite a few good shops and has good train connections to London.

There are clubs for every interest.

Lecturers are friendly and approachable.

There is a huge amount of support available from the UCEE with CV writing etc. They are also a changemaker campus.

New modern apartments in town.

I am loving my course as it is a combination of two of my favourite subjects and both are taught very well. Make sure that your course offers what you want and that you are comfortable at the university before applying for it.
