The University of Brighton offers a very inclusive, diverse and creative community. It’s motivational to be surrounded by others with similar aspirations, and perfect for networking opportunities. This could only be improved with more guidance on how to access all of the available facilities, as it appears tutors aren’t always aware of how students can be inducted or included into a variety of areas of education. For instance, as a painting student it would be beneficial to have clear instruction on how to use the photography facilities, the 3D facilities, the workshops etc. If lectures outside of an individuals course are also available to attend, it would be wonderful to see that advertised.

I am yet to see internships or placements advertised but perhaps that is as I am only first year.

I believe it’s ideal to have so many first year students in a concentrated area, very good for student life. I have unfortunately encountered some unprofessional behaviour from the security guards. Overall I am pleased to be in these halls as it’s comfortable, clean and good for social life.

The best part is the studios, giving us personal space to make art. It could be improved with module choice options.

I think we could have more lectures to encourage people to go in more but the lectures at the moment are enjoyable.

The en-suite and outside areas are good but the decoration is not appealing.
