The university differs from other universities in a number of ways, but the thing that sticks out for me is the university's facilities. It has enough space to study without feeling cramped or 'on top of' other students. The uni has recently opened up its own on-campus store which has been a fine addition to the hot food that was already served Monday-Friday in the main hub, and it gives students the choice between a hot meal or something shop bought.
One downside to the university is the location, as it is situated next to Plymouth's Derriford hospital, and therefore the travel into uni can sometimes be a pain. However, once past all the traffic, you reach the sports center which is discounted for students and provides access to a gym and swimming pool. Although the gym is far from the biggest or best gym in Plymouth, it has everything that you might need for a workout, and due to the small population size of the university, it is never too busy, even in busy hours!
The student union bar, otherwise known as Barjon, is a small cafe/sitting area which can sometimes become easily crowded, though this is due to the combination of pool table, darts board, and cheap drink prices. For these reasons, it is hard to dislike the student union bar.
In addition to the already mentioned facilities, Marjon poses a fantastic new student Osteopathy clinic which has received excellent reviews from patients that have visited. Not only does this allow for patient satisfaction, but it has ensured that the Osteopathic Medicine students have the best facilities, to allow for the best chance of graduation.
Overall, Marjon is a fantastic place not only to learn, but also to hang out and relax both within and outside of university hours.

All the lecturers here at Marjon are incredibly knowledgeable, which fills us with confidence in knowing we are being taught by the best. But in addition, they are all very down to earth and are excellent communicators. They are able to joke where possible, but are equally able to help us as students to further our learning. Moreover, every single tutor, despite their own busy personal lives, is more than willing to provide students with individual bits of further reading or information that will benefit them personally. Although this may sound like something they should already be doing, they are finding this information in their own personal time, and taking time out of their family and external work life to help us to become better Osteopaths, and this highlights the work ethic of all Osteopathy tutors here at Marjon.
One downside to the small university size, and the low staff numbers of Osteopath tutors here is that with 4 different year groups it can become quite difficult to contact tutors at times. However, each and every tutor will go out of their way to dedicate time to your needs and requests, no matter how busy they already are.
Overall, Osteopathy at Marjon is fantastic. The tutors are brilliant, the help they provide is amazing, and they provide students with all the tools they need to become better Osteopaths.

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
As with any uni halls, it is what you make of it. I opted for the cheapest accommodation available, and it was more than enough for me. I was only a 1-minute walk from the sports center, a 1-minute walk from my lectures, and a 5 minute drive from a shop. On top of this, toilet and shower facilities were plenty, and the kitchen was easily big enough for my flat size. To ensure hygiene, a weekly cleanliness check was in place and this was enough to make sure the flat stayed clean (enough).
The WiFi obviously had its issues, as with any WiFi, but given that an entire university population was often connected to it, I do not remember having any serious issues with it. I was always able to play games and do my work whenever I wanted to, and I never had any issues with connectivity.
