The study space in the main building is very nice and modern, as with the Students Union building. The library is very nice too however at certain times during the day it does get very busy and this makes it hard to find somewhere quiet to study because it is much quieter than other study spaces. The optometry building is not very modern however the facilities are really good such as the public eye clinic and the practical area. Since I am an optometry student, I spend most of my time in the optometry building and it would be a good improvement if they renovated it.

My course has a lot of contact hours with my tutors and all lectures are live/ in person and also recorded. This makes studying a lot easier because i can watch the lecture back if i missed it but also having live lectures gives the opportunity to ask questions and see demonstrations which are not available in the recorded version. We also have lots of practicals which are very useful in applying the knowledge that we learnt from the lectures, and often the module leader would be present during the practical sessions so we have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss with them. Depending on the module, some lecturers tend to just read off the PowerPoint without explaining concepts in depth, this makes the lecture feel a bit repetitive and unexciting, whereas others make it more interactive and ask questions. This puts us on the spot so we have to answer and stay focussed. Also, most modules give us practice questions which are very during exam revision.
