The actual university is in a great location close to town, public transport and clubs. Additionally I think it’s in a very safe area. Finally the SU nights are great and much cheaper compared to other clubs. However, the main downfall is the accommodation, as mine is situated quite far away and other accommodation is quite small compared to other universities. Despite this the accommodation is relatively affordable and most is situated close to the university.

The main thing I like about my course is that most of the lectures are recorded, so if I miss anything in the lectures, I am able to go back and rewatch them. However, I think that all lectures should be recorded and the recordings should go up on the day of the lecture, rather than having to wait for up to a week for them. Some of my lectures provide questions & quizzes which I find extremely helpful, especially when preparing for exams. Despite this, it has come to my attention that we will not be provided with the answers to past papers, which I believe is futile since I won’t be able to correct my mistakes. Finally the last thing that is good about my course is the ability to practice my clinical skills every week & the public facing clinic, which is essential for success on my course.

My accommodation is furthest from the university and requires me to get a bus to and from uni which only comes every hour. This is especially convenient as my lectures finish on the hour, so I have to wait a whole hour for the next bus. Although it is far the are is very safe, my room & kitchen are of a good size, the heating & hot water is reliable and I have a proper en-suite bathroom rather than a wet room. On the other hand, I wish my accommodation had a sofa & tv to make it feel more homely & that it was close to more sociable places like clubs and pubs.

The student union is good and there’s something for everyone.

There’s a big workload but the clinical side of it is interesting and gets me used to the world of work.

Not many extras just a small reception area but nice accommodation overall
