Tell us about your overall university experience so far.

I went to a different university before Worcester, which was much different. However, I feel that Worcester has been a much better experience for me personally, as it is smaller and so the possibilities of help and support are much greater.

Job Prospects

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

It holds careers fairs and within our course, gave a lecture about possible careers and outcomes based on Human Nutrition

Course and Lecturers

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

It is a mix between lectures and practical's which breaks the time up, so you can keep concentration. I wished lecturers could have wireless microphones, as in a larger class it can be hard to hear them and they don't always like standing still behind the attached mic.

How many contact hours per week do you have?

Students' Union

What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?

I like all the union does! Social nights should be advertised more if possible as many people don't know activities are on.

How good are your university's facilities?

Very good

Local life

Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?

Sleepy, compared to other places. Fairly sociable, with lots of pubs and coffee shops, however not a lot else there otherwise if the weather is not great.

Societies and Sports

How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?

They are all very good, however not all societies get the recognition they deserve for doing amazing things. I.e. the tennis team barely got any recognition, and were not put forward for club of the month when they raised over £900 for charity. The swim team doesn't seem to get much funding either, only getting two pool sessions a week, compared to other uni's who swim 5 or 6 times a week. They also don't compete unless it's BUCS or Varsity, which is enjoyable but they could do more.

Student Support

How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).

Excellent. My support tutor for learning difficulties, has been an incredible help and helped me achieve better grades.
