It's Fabolous to be in London metropolitan university but they have to pay attention to there international students as they are the major source of there financing .they are away from home and lots of things happening with them counseling are necessary for them in university and also they need help like in employment regards

The course is good to go but I my opinion if they are not able to grant every one an internship then they have to give them opportunity in university there are lots of student who may be suffering from many nutritional diseases.it will give students experience as well as university a moto

This academic year has been challenging, however, the lecturers have done an amazing job at providing all teaching online in a very smooth transition. I am receiving lots of exciting information about job opportunities as well as a great degree in which I hope to further through a masters in Nutrition. The uni has provided me with access to mental health support as well as physical activities to keep me focussed and calm whilst being very separated from friends and family. I really appreciate the community environment I have received from the uni and the lecturers and excited for third year!!

The university has a great range of services available as well as lots of common areas inside and out to relax and take a break from the lectures! There are multiple canteens offering a range of hot and cold food, with different cuisines each day full of healthy, nutritious and delicious food! Hygiene standards are very high inside and out, and trash cans provided regularly through the campus to promote cleanliness. The science centre is incredible with state of the art machinery for lab use and the library is huge with an extensive list of books for each course and areas for intense, quiet study as well as group support areas. The librarians are always very helpful and knowledgable. The gym is rather small but has lots of equipment to use and the wellness room is great for some calming yoga, which I’ll be looking forward to going back to when things reopen. Being in London, cycling is very common and there are areas inside to store bikes whilst in lectures.

From the very beginning we are introduced to all the different services available to the students including extra activities such as yoga/sports/university clubs, counsellors to discuss any issues we are currently having whether that’s financial, mental health ect. During lockdown there has been a huge amount of support by the uni and opportunities to join different platforms and forums to aid our mental health and awareness as well as tips to keep us active! The university promotes equality and regular discussion on topics surrounding the BAME community, women’s rights ect. Enabling an open, respectful and truly inspiring community at the uni!

The staff have been amazing at shifting all teaching to online. I’m contacted regularly by different lecturers updating me on course information, university information as well as regular mental awareness and ways to aid our studies during such a difficult period! The modules are well organised and any queries are dealt with in a timely manner! It’s a shame I cannot access the library to study, however, everything has been made accessible online for extra reading. The teaching hours are intense as expected for uni, however the lectures are broken up by regular breaks which helps me to focus. There are also course forums every two weeks for us to communicate with the course leader any issues that may have arisen in the lectures and discuss any queries. The lectures are mainly presentations however some lectures included blended learning activities, I find this difficult online as some students do not participate but nevertheless it can be a good change from the typical presenting. All lab work has been provided through 360• videos, therefore I don’t feel I’m missing out very much and can understand and keep up with these videos! I’m really happy with all the communication I have had from the university and don’t feel I’ve missed out on my course in any way, during this pandemic! As somebody who suffers from mental health, the uni have been really great at offering help and support as well as physical activities made available online.

Regular guest speakers come to the uni although at the moment this is all online. We have regular careers weeks whereby guest speakers from different fields within each course talk about their career and tips on how to promote yourself and succeed! I also receive many opportunities for internships and job vacancies to support my degree and of course the course itself provides lots of great information on how to get a job after we have completed the degree from writing CVS and cover letters to further education options.
