Lots of great study areas and easy location to travel to.

Very nice staff but some seem more unprepared than others. We could have more contact with our AAs and more in person lectures/seminars.

The University of Manchester is a great uni in such an amazing city. Being one of the biggest uni's in the country it has a very strong student vibe yet the size of the city doesn't feel overwhelming. Manchester's full of student bars, pubs and clubs were drinks are pretty cheap especially in the Northern Quarter which is full of alternative bars.. There seems to be always something to do in and around the city including hundreds of societies. It's definitely a work-hard play-hard university and even has its own Parklife festival after exams. I'm studying adult nursing so my course is intense. The course is very good however alot more scientific compared to others and even though that's good for me, if you prefer the caring side of nursing this university isn't for you. Lectures are usually large around 400 people so studying is more independent than at other uni's, however I have always felt fully supported. My placements have been amazing, however they can be up to 2 hours away so prepare to travel. The only disadvantage of the course is as it finishes for summer around the end of July so many people's housing contracts so you need to move to other uni accommodation. Unlike in other uni's were they put all nurses together (I've preferred this way as you meet a variety of people) There are three campuses for accommodation. City and Victoria are popular with international and studious students who want a quiet environment. Fallowfield is a student village about a 10 min bus ride to university were. everything is always happening. I stayed in Oak House which has been the best experience of my life, even though very partyish I've never found it too loud.
