Have had a positive experience at queens.

Enjoy my course thoroughly, however would appreciate more time with tutors. Also think placement hours could be split better and integrated into the year to enable students to pursue all opportunities equally. Course content ok but often feel as if there is a lack of evidence.

Lived in Belfast my whole life and as a student i’ve learned even more about the place i grew up and how much of a diverse space it is with a lot of opportunities.

I’m a mature student and was quite nervous about going back to school. Queens’ has been amazing at helping us all settle in, giving lots of support and advice all along the way. They are frequently checking with students to see if anything could be done better or differently and will take the feedback and make positive changes. I feel very supported, I know there is always someone to help with any problems or queries. Nursing is a very high pressure course and it is stressful but Queens’ has done an amazing job of breaking it down into manageable chunks so it’s not too overwhelming. The campus is beautiful with lots going on. It’s easy to get around with everything working walking distance and has good public transport links.

I love the blended learning with half the week online and half on campus. Because of having a family it helps having both types of learning. The course is 50% in University and 50% out on placement. This happens every 6 weeks or so and it’s a great way to put what you’ve learned as theory in Uni into practice on placement. The lecturers are great, really enthusiastic and supportive. They all really want you to do well and will help you as much as they can or will direct you to someone who can. It’s a difficult course but the way it’s taught makes it manageable and so interesting.
