I find the lectureres at Derby are all very friendly and approachable. The different teaching techniques within my course are great as it allows everyone to learn in different ways whether that being practical or academically. I feel the uni could improve by making the campus cafes etc more student friendly and cheaper as may students don’t have time to work outside of their courses meaning money is very tight

I find the lectureres at Derby are all very friendly and approachable. The different teaching techniques within my course are great as it allows everyone to learn in different ways whether that being practical or academically. I feel it could improve by providing more support and understanding to us first year students before going out on to placement. Whilst on placement I know myself and other students in my cohort have found things difficult to understand and trying to contact the uni and recieving an answer as soon as can be quite difficult.

It is difficult to express the university life due to doing my undergrad degree during the pandemic but I do feel supported by the university staff and the student union as and when I need the support. Communication of the university would be better between academics and students however it is getting better from my point of view.

One day a week is not enough contact time for me, even having an optional day to go in and have time studying with the support of an academic would be good
