The best aspects of York St John are the great facilities for health courses, small class sizes, friendly atmosphere and supportive disability team. The worst aspects are probably a lack of professionalism, academic staff members are not always particularly professional and the administration of the course sometimes feels haphazard and last minute.

The facilities are excellent, there are amazing health care set ups for practicing. That said, the course structure means that actual practice time is quite limited and quite often the academics talk through most of the practical and leave very little hands on time to practice. The quality of the lectures highly depends on the lecturer, and on many occasions they have been lecturing based off materials they haven't even read beforehand, such as PowerPoints. There also appears to be very little communication between them, with seminars often repeating what was said in the lecture, with no particular added value.

York is a lovely small city with a surprising amount of things to do despite the size. It's extremely safe, and the public transport is great. It is however an expensive place, and it's extremely crowded for most of the year despite being small for a city.

The best aspect of uni is the student life, I’ve had a really nice time meeting people in and out side of uni since joining The worst aspect of uni is the organisation. I don’t think the courses organisation is up to scratch.

The sessions are in person, and they’re really good with context etc. However, getting in contact with lecturers and course leaders is difficult.
