The Uni has some good courses, especially in my field of study. The campus is well kept and has great facilities for food and a great library. The university is also situated near a good amount of shops and other local venues. The SU tries its best with what it has, and there are many societies that one may join. I feel safe in this university as someone who is queer. However where it lacks, is that the rent prices are way too high, especially in my accomodation, upwards tp £3,500 per trimester. Also various projects such as the new campus near Compass House have been seemingly abandoned with no progress in 4 years. Funding has been pulled from various arts and humanities faculties and moved into more STEM related courses. The University also has refused divulge where it's investments are going.

My course offers a lot of knowledge as someone who wishes to go into the audio and music industry. It is very hands on with lots of easy to access equipment and facilities like recording studios. Classes are small, around 20 people max so the lecturer gets to know you well. The lecturers are also very helpful and are free to offer some 1 to 1 advice. The only criticism is the work load for first year students, which can be very overwhelming.

Being on campus makes Peter Taylor easy to access facilities and lectures. Peter Taylor rooms offer an on-suite, fast internet a semi large room and a shared kitchen. However, the rent prices are astronomical, upwards of £2.5 to £3 grand per trimester. Other reports from other students include cockroaches and mold growing. Security and staff also didn't seem to take my reports of potential domestic abuse in the flat next to me that seriously.
