The community within the university feels like one big family which is great when being away from home for such long periods of time. One thing I think that could be improved would be having a more varied range of activities run by the union.

The teaching is brilliant and always in the mid set for when we leave to get jobs in the world of work. The facilities could be better if there was another performance hall (PATS) as it is always in competition to use.

Really good value for money and great location. Safety is pretty bad as anyone can just walk in the main door and pull the doors open. This needs to be fixed.

The university is a great place to study due to its wild variety of subjects. There is loads to do and town is super close with lots of shops. One thing I would improve about the university is the library being open 24/7.

The music course is amazing. There is such a wide variety of subjects which can be molded to your interests. There are modules which are across years and modules with other closely related music courses like creative music technology and tonmeisters. The teaching is excellent, with lecturers having an independent understanding of the subject, often being the subject they are most passionate about which sparks interest for us students. One thing I would change is the amount of hours we get taught. As music we commonly get 8 hours a week. I look at other courses and see some doing that in a day.

The location and safety of campus is reflected in accommodation too. Very safe university overall, however the door at the bottom of our flat is still broken even after 2 years. The rooms are decent but with the yearly rising in price for the same accommodation is not ideal. Also 14 people on 1 floor is too many people, I think around 6-8 is perfect.
