Music is an extremely social course so there is lots of opportunity to make friends and collaborate. If you are not a classical musician or jazz musician there might not be as many engaging modules or extracurriculars, especially in first year which has quite a classical focus.

In second year you can choose your own modules and basically align your degree with your interests. I do think you have to be quite broad across multiple disciplines however as there are not enough modules to just pick one sector you wish to focus on. In third year this may be slightly more focused but you still need variety.

Near the uni. Not worth the money at all, the staff are nice but the actual hall itself is not worth it. Blaring bright light in your room and depending on where you are located you might have constant noise from people coming through the gates and walking back home (I was on the third floor and this was still the case). Since being at uni and seeing my friends accommodations it's actually better to live in a flat with slightly more people, purely from a social aspect. At brook hall with the minimal flatmates it's not very social and I knew absolutely no one from my block.
