I am extremely satisfied with my choice to attend the University of Liverpool for my PhD, MRes, and BA(Hons). It continues to meet my needs well in all aspects, with plenty of opportunities for me to maximise my progress. I have always felt supported by the lecturers, and the facilities are good. In particular, my supervisors have been very supportive and invaluable towards developing my MRes and PhD research projects. I have not experienced many negatives. Parking availability could be improved and some of the departmental buildings could benefit from additional modernisation. However, I always find somewhere to park, and there are plenty of excellent new accessible buildings like the Tung Auditorium.

My current PhD course is a research-focused without taught aspects, but my supervisors have been extremely helpful and supportive in developing my research project. Additionally, other student support sessions/training have been useful for filling in any knowledge gaps.

Excellent welcoming city to study in, with beautiful architecture and social opportunities. I live here, and have felt little urge to study anywhere else. If anything is lacking, it would be the frequency of public transport, though this is common to most cities.

Overall, my first year has been the best it could be due to the pandemic, I think that the staff are lovely and helpful however I can’t say that it has been worth £9000 because online uni when you’re a music student sucks.
