The University of Birmingham is a great place to study, especially for my course, Music. The institution as a whole is helpful, student life is fun and varied and there are lots of opportunities ranging from sports, music, other hobbies, work or volunteering. The campus is safe and looks very nice, especially in Spring and Summer. It also has a good location as it has its own trainstation and is close to the city.

I love my course! The course is focused on classical music, jazz and new music. It offers a wide range of modules where everyone will find something they are interested in. There are not a lot of contact hours in general, but the teachers give lots of support and offer one to one sessions if needed.

Shackleton is a very nice place to live, as it is on the Vale, a student village. It has nice surroundings, but is a longer walk away from campus. The rooms are generally very nice, though it is sort of up to chance which size your room will be. There is a shop and a pub in the accommodation, making it very comfortable to live in.
