I’m very happy to be studying at BIMM Brighton as an international student. Being in a UK music university is teaching me a lot about the local industry, which has been really valuable. However, I would love to learn more about other music industries around the world, as the course feels very UK-focused. It could also explore more music genres to better reflect the diversity of international students. On the positive side, the teachers are highly professional and passionate, and the creative, supportive environment among students really motivates you to improve. The hands-on projects and live performance opportunities make learning very practical and engaging, contributing to a great overall experience.

Most lessons are in-class, which is great for practical learning, the course hours are balanced, giving enough time for independent practice. The teachers are very approachable and always willing to give guidance, whether in class or outside scheduled hours. The tutorials are especially helpful, they’re a great opportunity to catch up on content, clarify doubts, or prepare for assessments. Overall, the combination of in-class learning, online support, hands-on practice, and tutorials creates a productive and engaging experience.

Great facilities and the city is amazing, especially as a student. However, for the first two years of the course I thought the education was a bit basic compared to stuff we did in college. Not that I'm a super smart student or anything but I already knew most of it.

Everything about the tutoring is good except actual time in university is sometimes sparse, with me only being in uni a few days a week.
