Great university, library is a fantastic place to study and has everything you need. Lecturers are lovely, helpful and understanding. definitely needs more cafes though i barely have time between classes to grab something to eat and a coffee as the lines are always out the door. Also bring back SKINT!!

The University is very modern and in-tune with student needs. There are plenty of ways that Abertay help to support your study and alleviate stresses connected to mental health and time restrictions (guaranteed extensions on reports without need to provide evidence of mitigating circumstances). The staff and lecturers are kind and helpful, making sure to accommodate for any problems one may have. The facilities present are good for the most part, with ample access to a library and a café nearby, as well as the student lounge within the Old College being a good place to meet. The course modules are well made and easy to follow for the most part, and lecturers are always happy to help if you ever get confused/don't understand anything within the subject matter. The worst part of Uni life would have to be the available student accommodation options, the rooms/flats are typically very expensive for very little room. Thankfully not having any tuition fees help with this, but it's still a high price regardless. Another thing about the Uni experience that could be better is the response time of receiving grades and feedback for reports/exams, depending on the course you could be waiting many weeks after the expected feedback date to receive any.

I touched on this in the previous section, but to reiterate; the lecturers are all kind and ready to help if you encounter any hiccups on the work/subject matter. They all seem to have a vested interest both in the subject and the outcome of the student's time here, which is always a nice quality for lecturers to have. The subject matter itself, I find at least, to be interesting and is definitely something I want to make a career out of. As part of my MEng course, I participate in a guaranteed 12 week work placement, which is an amazing opportunity which will help accelerate one's professional career. My only complaint is again, the slow response times on feedback for reports/exams, it would be ice to have that consistency will all the work I do.
