Tell us about your overall university experience so far.
A stunning campus with all the facilities you need within 3 seconds walk of one another. You'll be going to lectures with generally cheerful people. The University of Stirling is a place that students from all around the globe come as well.
Facilities
How good are your university's facilities?
A very modern library with an extensive range of text. Shops and union within the building.
Student support
How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).
After needing a little help with finances I went to the support services. They staff were very nice and very very helpful.
Students' union
What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?
A small but cosy Union which can really get jumping on the right occasion is an enjoyable place to be for the start of a night.
Local life
Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?
The city is very small and condensed with only two clubs. Because of this, there is not much incentive to go out. Saying that, I'm a Glasgow boy so my expectations were always high.
Societies and Sports
How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?
Have not joined any clubs or societies as of yet but have heard good things about the majority of them.
Lecturers and teaching quality
What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?
The university offers a vast array of courses, from Film to Business. All of which are taught well.
Career prospects
How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?
I think it really depends on your course and work ethic but the university does offer help whenever you need it.
University halls
What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
Accommodation is expensive but the porters and liaisons are nice and will help you with your living needs.
