There is no bad about my uni, it is the best it can be

My course is so good

There are some really fantastic lecturers here, but there’s also some pretty bad ones. There are way more good modules than bad ones, though. The equipment on campus is pretty good, especially the specialist stuff, but the labs are fairly impressive too. There isn’t a student union on campus or even close by - it’s in a pub in town, and honestly isn’t that great. But the location of the uni itself is pretty good, and there are plenty of places other than the student union to drink and socialise.

There is a lot of contact with lecturers, and they are easy to reach. If they aren’t in the room with you, they are usually reachable through email. Each module has a two hour lecture and either 1 or 2 hours of practical session. The course is *really* broad, and you wont stay in one place for very long until 3rd year, when you begin to specialise. You can get whiplash a bit, but I feel much more well-rounded for doing it. (If you don’t like programming, or sound, or art, or any one of the subjects you’ll be studying, think of it as ‘learning the language’ of people you will work with in future.

Cost of living is terrible here - Edinburgh is a very, very expensive city - but everything else is fantastic. I don’t feel unsafe here and never have, and it is changing for the better.
