I have met so many people from differnt courses, learnt so many new things and gained practical experience in the laboratories. Although it has been hard to learn how university works at the beginning, I am really grateful to be studying in Glasgow

The service offered by Tutor is great - each of Life Science students has a peronal advisor they can refer to in case anything happens. Feedback surveys are always sent to students at the end of a course or assessment. The counselling services are not organised at best - the waiting list is at least 3 or 4 months long and so many people don't even get the opportunity to start it.

University of Glasgow has 2 students unions and 2 student bodies. Within each of them , there are several societies. Both the students unions work well and they offer different opportunities, course and activities. They work together to provide the students with a very hectic and interestig experience of university life (outside the academic aspect of it).

The city is almost divided in two: the West End and the City Centre. Being a student at the university of Glasgow almost confine you within the borders of the West End. This is a lovely, sociable area, with great and cosy cafés and really student friendly

There are a number of different societies - so many that everyone can find some they would like to join. For my personal experience, the societies always welcome new people andeveryone is free to contribute to the society as much as they desire

Every department has an office where you can go and talk about your CV and possible careers. Weekly careers & interships emails are sent to notify the students. Every two motnhs, a career & intership fair in organised by one of the student unions. Lecturers try to structure the lectures and the labs in order to give us practical skills needed in future job placements
