Tell us about your overall university experience so far.

Swansea University is a fantastic institute of higher education, where staff not only understand but respect their students. There are fantastic opportunities such as schemes abroad for further education as well as volunteer experiences. Swansea University is more than just a school, it is the place where I became an adult.

Job Prospects

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

Very well, there is a careers office and all sorts of volunteer opportunities that can enhance the CV. There is also a Swansea Employability Award that students can work towards.

Course and Lecturers

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

They are always on-hand and answer emails. They are very personable and do what they can to encourage and support their students.

Students' Union

What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?

I think the Student's Union is great for Undergraduate Students, however as a Postgraduate, I do not have the time to get involved with much.

Accommodation

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?

Uni Facilities

How good are your university's facilities?

The University has some great facilities, from the Sports Field to the newly developed Bay Campus, Swansea University is succeeding in becoming a top University.

Local life

Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?

Wind Street is amazing.

Societies and Sports

How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?

Again, I do not really have much time to get involved in the clubs and societies, unfortunately.

Student Support

How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).

The University has a well-being center that helps students through any personal challenges they may be facing. The academic staff I work with are all very helpful, and there if the students need any help.
