best: - location in the city, far enough away that you have a campus feel but you can just get on a bus and head to the city - lecturers, especially in derby medical school are super helpful and involved and supportive of students - course type, super interesting and a good stepping stone onto A100 worst: - lack of support in on campus accommodation, hardly see anyone around during the day, only the security at night, no one site staff - catered food on campus

derby medical school is an amazing, supportive place however I cannot common Nottingham medicine as a whole as I have only really experience DMS

i think the rooms are expensive for what you get. from what I have heard, we spend a lot more here than others do at other unis owned accommodations. i share a bathroom and it often isn't left very well but the clearer are very good and thorough. you hardly see any staff about ever.

The campus is easy to get to know and you feel very safe when walking around. Furthermore, it always feels clean and I rarely see excessive amounts of rubbish. The Students Union offers a range of societies, clubs and packages to ensure everyone feels included and I feel well represented as a student. The university isn't too far from the city and public transport means you can be in the centre within 20 minutes with ease. The nightlife in Nottingham is exciting and the location of the city in relation to others across the UK means it is easy to hop on a train to see a new city you haven't been to before. There is plenty to do as a young student here.

The course, although new, is based out of the Queens Medical Centre and boasts a number of academic staff who dedicate time to ensure it runs smoothly. You are given a solid grounding in biomedical sciences prior to delving into the deeper details of cancer sciences and this is highlighted with students being thoroughly interested. There are multiple postgraduate opportunities too at the university and this is something you are encouraged to consider by academic staff and tutors.

The rooms are very good value for money and although not the most modern, they provide everything a student could need. The catering is a little bit hit or miss, but this is common across the university, not just Sherwood.
