The campus is incredible, i have always loved how the campus feels so homely and like a small little town of its own. There are great facilities on campus both for life (eg doctors, pharmacy etc, food places) and in terms of for studying. The STEMlab which i have used for the past 5 years is amazing. In my first two years the student experience was amazing, the union was the place to be. However, since COVID and changes to the way the union is ran, I really don't think the union is that good anymore which I think impacts on the student experience.

STEMlab is a great facility and have spent a lot of time in labs over the course of degree the academics are so approachable, supportive and very knowledgeable. At times the content has felt a bit disjointed There could be more emphasis on the medicinal/pharmaceutical aspect.

Good transport connections to the rest of East Midlands and direct to London, Sheffield, etc. Actual town is quite small and could do with more things to do.

Really nice accommodation - tastefully renovated within last 5 years Such good value for money as a really high standard cheap hall, especially relative to other universities' cheaper accommodation which is often quite dingy and more expensive. Large halls with a good community feel, social aspect was really good 4-5 people per bathrooms - sharing was never a problem especially with sink in bedroom Great location being literally right next to the library and 5 mins from many lecture halls.
