The teaching can be very varied, the content is almost always relevant and the facilities are great! The hands on approach of the university is first class depending on which field you are studying.

Having up to date equipment, particularly with regards to media, is very essential and the university delivers as the equipment is of a good quality and you are taught to use it well.

Any time I have needed support from the student services they have been both friendly and great at assisting.

The student union is very, very poor due to it being so small on the Ayr campus. This is a real problem initially for people looking to socialise as there just isn't enough room for 50+ people.

Ayr appears to be somewhat lacking in any real city culture which is a shame as it has became a student town in recent years. The depletion of shops on the hightstreet definitely makes the town feel less vibrant.

There are clubs and societies but I do not participate in them but there are a wide selection available to students.

It can sometimes fall short of expectations in terms of how the lecturers deliver the content and explain it. However, the overall teaching is good and presented in an easy way and the staff are always happy to help and interact with the students.

I believe that the content has prepared the students, particularly in my course, for the real media industry which is great.

Having only visited the accommodation at Ayr, I can say that the buildings are new and very well facilitated.

Pretty much perfect! Modern buildings, accommodations and equipment. Top professors and small classes! In depth filmmaking classes, with very good support by tutors and professors.

Can only speak for Ayr, but it's a small, quiet town. A trip to Glasgow is short and worth it though ;)
