I am very happy with my course mostly because of the variety of things we got to do, such as using radio studios, professional cameras, writing articles and editing short documentaries. My course is really well structured. Campus is pretty safe, there is always security somewhere near by and an app that lets you get in contact with them quickly. I think the student academic and mental health support could be better. I've had no idea about PEC and deadline extensions until about half way through my second year.

My course right now is mostly taught in person with some online lectures sprinkled here and there. As it is a pretty small course, I know my lecturers personally and I can get in contact with them easily.

While lovaine are the cheapest halls that Northumbria offers I still felt like I was paying way too much for it. The hallways and rooms are dark and claustrophobic and to be honest the place looks a bit like a prison. The security is bad. These halls don't have it's own reception, if you have a problem you need to go to the reception of the halls next to it. My flat has made multiple complaints about the state of the bathrooms which had mould growing in them and the ceiling tiles which were not in a great condition. I have lived there in 2019 so it's hard to tell if it's still in such a state but considering that our complaints were not very well addressed I wouldn't be surprised. The location is pretty great though.
