Overall this year at uni has been okay. Unfortunately because of lockdown, we haven’t actually managed to create any productions. I feel for all students on practical courses as I know most would be in the same or similar position. Nevertheless, edge hill has managed to try to create a creative space for students still through COVID times, and I still have enjoyed my University experience

The tv studio at edge hill is amazing as well as the equipment we can book out from the store room. However, you have to be trained on certain pieces of equipment rather than just being taught them in a workshop which I think would be beneficial.

There’s very little contact time due to COVID and restrictions in place however, the majority of the tutors for film and tv production have given us blanket extensions when needed in addition to already having a contingency plan for alternative assessments in place. Sometimes there can be missed emails or in responded emails from tutors, but that’s normally because they’re quite busy replying to loads of other students too. They will do their best to reply if you need anymore academic support. Feedback is great more often than not and students can work on the improvements for the next part of the coursework.

The campus is beautiful and the facilities are equipped with everything you could need. Swimming pool, gym, shops and a great library with access to plenty of computers and macs.

Only 25 minutes from Liverpool by train- Ormskirk night life alright.
