Warwick has made my transition as a fresher incredibly smooth. The university has hosted numerous events designed to help us fit in and build connections from day one. Everyone, from the friendly fellow students to the approachable professors, has been welcoming and supportive. The Moodle webpage is another highlight; it’s really well-designed, making it easy to access and structure all our course materials efficiently. Overall, Warwick has created a fantastic environment for new students to thrive.

one would be the less contact hours, but again thats due to it being a university and me comparing it to a school, otherwise all seems fine

Lots of access to facilities which are around a close proximity from each other (furthest being 15 minutes walk for me). Good accommodation with access to help and further information which is easily accessible. Could be better if there were more parking spaces closer to my accommodation as it is only disabled when they could be used as student parking.

Very methodical and clear teaching especially my ES196 module who is a great lecturer who is clear and concise. Would hope for greater contact hours with tutor as the pace we are going is quite slow in my opinion. This would help with the increasing difficulty of the course modules and also build more independence as there will be a greater work load of “homework” rather than just project reports. The labs are enjoyable however could sometimes be confusing due to the way the experiments are explained.

I love the nature and also the people that live here. My flatmates are very accommodating and are similar in terms of personality and hobbies. I do not like the fact that there is no data connection at all and have to rely on the internet which is not reliable some of the time. Also my room is not as expected from the website and is small for the fees that I pay however it is still nice and I appreciate how close it is to the other cryfield facilities such as the laundromat (which is quite expensive). Also wish it was closer to aldi and Tescos as rootes grocery is quite expensive.
