I quite enjoy the lake on the Stag hill campus and the Front room however it'd be great if there were another room like the front room as its rather small. Depending on the lecture theatre it can be rather uncomfortable to sit, take notes due to perhaps a lack of space and a big connected table which all too annoying all too quickly especially if your in there for more than an hour honestly its terrible for your neck and back. A handful of lecturers have no energy, read off the slides and as well as that typically have a thick foreign accent making it difficult to decipher what they are saying which isn't the best when they're going through slides as if they're playing a game of cookie clicker at that point its better to just stay home or go in the library and go over the slides yourself but that's not nearly enough when learning a complex task. On the plus side there are a few lecturers who are really passionate about their modules and speak in an understandable manner and explain things in a way thay makes sense. With lecturers if you go to a tutorial and ask a question some lecturers will look down on you as if you are the lowest life form on the planet fortunately others while mentally insulting you or petrifying you with their condescending gazes still make an effort to help you understand and don't pressure you too much if you're really lucky then you'll get a lecturer or PhD student that explains the topic or problem with a warm and welcoming smile, positive attitude, helpful outlook and helps you understand the problem or question(s). It an almost be compared to a lottery. One of my favourite aspects of uni has to be the clubs and societies, if you try joining a large society it might seem rather overwhelming at first, however if you bring a friend to tag along with you it makes it much easier to socialise and make friends. There's a large number of clubs and societies, many if not all are student led which helps people on the students on the committees valuable skills and experience that might be valued in a workplace environment.
