Best: - Helpful, friendly support staff. Easy to talk to. A relief after wandering nervously around new places in the Ashby needing things for a project! - Good location, with the Botanic Gardens close by and the Ulster Museum. - McClay library, one of my favourite places to be, though really packs out sometimes! - Met some of the best people, on my first day even! Friendly atmosphere.

Best: - Some lecturers are incredible. The combination of an interesting subject lead by a great tutor can't be beaten. - From my personal experience, I have to give shout outs to Louise Pick, Jonathan Cole, Dominic Chandar, Yasser Larimi, Charlie McCartan, Beatrice Smyth, Adrian Murphy, Felix Hagan and Paul Hermon. I'm particularly grateful to all of them for how they've genuinely enhanced my experience at the university. Worst: - Some lecturers *aren't* so incredible. Thank goodness I had some small computer science background, because I'd have failed Dynamics 1 (circa 2019-20) coding in C otherwise. Lecture content and teaching simply wasn't sufficient. Additionally we were programming microcontrollers that had little-to-no helpful documentation. Nothing like a Raspberry Pi or Arduino, for which resources are easy to find. - A mix up, or communication failure, in Year 2 during COVID-19 social distancing. Module timetables were shunted around to accommodate distancing. Unfortunately, this lead to us being taught *and examined* on Potential Flow (Fluid Dynamics) in January, without yet having covered the pre-requisite knowledge from Vector Calculus (Maths and Computing). It's clear that these modules had been intended to run in tandem, with Maths and Computing providing us with the mathematical basis for Potential Flow. I, and many others I know, just ended up skipping the potential flow question on the exam.

Communal areas feel safe and are always clean. Staff are easy to talk to and great at resolving issues, no fuss! Expensive to buy in, but you certainly get much more for your money than the average private rental around Belfast.
