The school offers a much. In terms of study areas, lunch areas and as a big university it offers great student support. Regardless of how you study, and what works and not work for you, there are multiple choices to choose from.

As I am a PhD student we do not have much of the above mentioned. But there is help provided. Although I would prefer that more information, detailed information, is provided for PhD students in terms of what the have to do and all due dates, all in one place and not have to work through several information packs and files, helps to know what to expect throughout the year, and the other years to come

The University of Strathclyde does so much to make sure that their students have the most academically and socially fulfilling time throughout university. Not only are the facilities located perfectly in the centre of town, but they are all brand new. The Strath Sport building boasts several large gym halls, a newly renovated gym, Squash courts, Badminton courts, Dance Studio, Swimming Pool, and a sauna. The library and students union have plenty of spaces for students to enjoy quiet study time. The university also has a huge array of clubs and societies that any student at the university can join. They host welcome fairs and sports fairs to encourage new students to come along. In terms of staff, my lecturers are all extremely respondent and helpful. Staff go out of their way to check up on students and aid them to the best of their ability.

The course allows us access to a careers service and gives us opportunities to complete assignments relevant to our field of study. I was also lucky enough to go on a semester studying abroad, in which i felt fully supported by staff. The only thing is there are no built in internship opportunities within the course.

The best student halls i have seen. A great location on campus and alongside all other student halls. A great place to meet people and get used to the Strathclyde campus. Weekly cleaning and great facilities.
