University is such an amazing time. I would say make sure you always go to class and pay attention to what they are saying! Take advantage of all the awesome clubs and societies that Heriot Watt has to offer, they help you make friends.

Heriot-Watt is ideal for people looking for a perfect city-life to green space balance. The campus is a 20-30 minute bus journey from central Edinburgh, which is no time with how reliable the bus service is. Heriot-Watt offers vast green spaces and forest walks, libraries overlooking the gardens, and the GRID at the loch. Initially my second choice for uni in Edinburgh, I am so glad I ended up here with the support from the disability team for dyslexia & ADHD, something not commonly found at Unis across the UK.

Heriot-Watt is amazing for connections to workplaces and aiding in internship placement for courses through an exclusive partnership with JobTeaser, where HWU gets exclusive offers for its students.

Whilst uni halls are generally quite ££, the facilities for what you pay are mint. Ensuites, shared kitchen, and cleaners for the building that come once a week for general cleaning of communal spaces (no they don't do your dishes, but they make a huge difference)
