Library: ample seating and floors dedicated to your preferred working environment e.g. group, quiet, silent. Great facility with a reasonably priced cafe! Gets busy during exam season but there is almost always enough seating. Conveniently close to lectures too to get some consolidation in and means I don't have to do much work at home!
Campus: lovely campus, lecture buildings are close to each other and most lecture halls are airy and bright.
Sports societies: very reasonably priced and great fun! Fantastic to meet new people; met loads of new friends in swimming and athletics!
Union: mainly in there to buy lunch, nice seating facilities. Quite quiet usually, though.
ASV: great facility, reasonably priced, gym is busier during peak times but usually space. Great swimming facilities.

Lectures are in-person but usually recordings are provided online too. I have enjoyed my courses so far and I don't feel overwhelmed by the workload (but certainly enough to keep me busy!!!) Easy to contact lecturers with questions/concerns and replies are quick and informative.

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
Favourite thing about halls was the communal building 'headspace'. Contained badminton courts, pool tables, cinema room, tv and games room, arts and crafts station, cafe and was often the site for any events Hillhead ran e.g. bbqs. Room was a good size, curtains were blackout, kitchen was good size too.

Many of the university buildings are not the most appealing on the outside, but have great resources for studying and lectures. Being a student of Science, I love the Science Teaching Hub building, the lab techniques available to us are wonderful, and the style of the building feels very professional.
However, I do wish that the University Union was a little more lively. Most universities across the UK have a Student Union with a bar/drinking facility, making it a desirable place for students to go outwith their studies to relax and socialise. The Aberdeen Union does feel simply like a cafeteria of convenience, rather that a true social centre.

I have found that the response and care from lecturers does vary. Some lecturers are readily available to lend help and provide answers to questions, whereas some lecturers take much longer, or don’t even reply at all.
I do enjoy that despite lectures being in person, there is always a recorded version uploaded online. This allows for us to go over the lectures again in our own time, and note anything down that we initially missed.

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
I was not very impressed with the state of some of the university halls. For the price that I paid, I would have expected slightly nicer accommodation. The bathrooms in my building were extremely outdated and almost prison-like.
However, with the right flatmates it definitely was possible to make halls a home.
