I think Queens is a great place to study, the campus is very walkable and all buildings are close together so there are no super long walks between classes. There are great facilitues such as the library or SU to get work done or hang out with friends. There is a high level of academic support, I feel. I have many people i can reach out to if needed, and this goes beyond my studies. There is a lot of further support provided to ensure you enjoy your unu experience!

My course content is really good in regards to biology, but due to limited marine staff there is not as much marine biology content as I would like. There are amazing facilities to use however the opportunities to access them are limited i.e the marine lab in Portaferry. I have really enjoyed my course, but I feel a few small changes could majorly improve the course

Dinner and breakfast were included which was nice, and the rooms were spacious compared to other halls. However parking was often difficult due to too many permits being handed out, security could be rude and there were many maintenance issues across the year

The Campus is all close together which is great and I feel part of a proper community here. I was very nervous coming to university as I am quite shy and struggle to make friends but I got involved with the Student union and they pointed me in the direction of Clubs and Societies and events I could go to. They have been very supportive of me and are really friendly. The only problem I have is the Price of the University sports centre recently increased which makes me nervous about if I can afford it in the future.

I think I have just the right amount of classes, and lecturers are friendly and approachable so I can ask questions after class. I do wish Personal tutors were more active, I know I have one but I'm not sure how they can help me and haven't spoken to them much throughout the programme.

I love the Treehouse, the Reslife team alwasy have events on in the evenings for you to attend and at weekends which is great because I don't go home often. Alot of my flatmates do go home which can be a bit lonely but being able to go to the treehouse and meet people is really nice.
