The city is daunting. There’s a high crime rate and lots going on here but the uni is really good and supportive. I’m glad that LJMU has given me the number of opportunities to enhance my time here in sports, going abroad and ability to network and think about my future.

There’s loads of computers available to use. Even if the library is full at exam time, you are able to find some available in the buildings where there is free space. We are able to rent the sports halls and Astro turf for activities when we want. There’s a Starbucks coffee area in one of my buildings and cafes in the other.

The tutoring is really bad. Most of us do not know who our tutors are but our feedback isn’t bad.

It’s good but seems to lack student engagement. The uni puts on lots of events but not many are that popular

Our uni is split into three campuses. My campus is right in the centre but sometimes for exams we have to travel to one of the really far away ones for an exam at 9am. This is something that they’re working on but the new one won’t be built in time for my year to enjoy.

I am part of a sport society and it’s great but I spend a lot of money on travel.

I enjoy my lectures and smaller seminars which allow us to focus on applying what we learn in our lectures. However sometimes the lecturers have such strong accents you cannot understand them. It’s good to have people from different parts of the world as we obviously have international students too - but we also need to be able to understand them.
