Best aspects I would say is the environment and the quality of the tutors. They have a lot of knowledge and I feel like I’m doing well to be able to keep up with work and understand what’s happening. I see people from other uni’s struggling to keep up because they’re being given far too much to do, I think there’s a perfect balance here and I feel like I have the time and space to actually think and improve in my studies rather than just making it up to meet deadlines. I would say there isn’t many bad aspects, though for certain modules, the scheduling isn’t ideal and there’s possibly not enough to discuss in the three hour creative writing sessions we are given. I think for workshopping it works better but even then, it feels like we’re taking 45 minute breaks just to fill time when the session could just be scheduled shorter. I also had a negative experience with the accommodation team. The accommodation itself I’ve heard is fabulous, but when I asked for advice on housing for third year things got difficult. (I asked if there would be any more opportunities for on campus accommodation waitlists as my current accommodation last minute announced an impossible hike in prices, and if not I wanted to know if I could have some advice on off campus accommodation in the area as I’d never lived in ormskirk before). The response I got was very blunt, rude, basically saying you missed your opportunity end of story. Ignored my query on advice, and overlooked my own admittance that I knew I had missed the original deadline but just wanted to check if there would be further opportunities or not. I don’t know if this was an isolated experience, but I think it’s worth noting

I think the course is taught perfectly to be honest. A decent amount of contact time and very little times where things have to move online. Even when this does happen, everything is covered so I never feel like I’m missing anything
