The overall general experience of living and studying at this univeristy has exceeded my expectations. There have certainly been ups and downs but the university has made swift action and catered for any issues students have.

The library is just wonderful. Most of us call it Hogwarts. Can't get better than a library which students view as magical to work in.

There are various support groups throughout the uni. Major support include Nightline which offer 24/7 support to anyone who phones in.

The Student Union is always trying to encourage us to participate in events and activities and wants to hear the student opinion. Though Bangor is small, I thin this helps are Student Union cater to students more effectively.

If you're used to a bustling city then Bangor isn't the place for you. There are only 3 clubs in all of Bangor, but plenty of pubs to make up for that. The night life usually ends around 2am when everything closes which can be a shame sometimes. However, the pubs and clubs we do have are fantastic and are always coming up with inventive themes and events that are great.

There is a vast range of Societies in Bangor and it is quite achievable to start your own. I suppose my personal negative would be that there are no art societies but as I have said, this has simply encouraged me to apply to start one next term.

The majority of lectures I have had the pleasure of meeting are incredibly intuitive of their students requirements and levels. They're entertaining and incredibly interesting which of course makes the course that much better.

I'm emailed regularly and offered various sessions in which I can improve my job prospects, CV and interview skills. It's incredibly useful as I'm a first year who hasn't many ideas of what to expect from potential job markets and this gives me a helping hand towards better chances.

I applied for a mid-priced en-suite room expecting low grade accomodation as was the impression other universities had given me. But Bangor accomodation is incredible. Couldn't be happier. It's clean, spacious and communal.
